On the latest episode of Bet the Edge, Jay Croucher and Drew Dinsick outline the broad landscape of the upcoming World Cup, including handicapping favorites to win the tournament and other bets of intrigue.

Bet the Edge welcomes in NBCLX Host Eric Alvarez to evaluate some of the most most valuable spots on the World Cup slate. The trio discuss the possibility of Team USA winning Group B (+450), and if they have a legitimate claim to come away with the whole thing (+15000). Jay, Drew, and Eric also outline why Brazil being the rightful favorite (+350) is not an attractive bet despite their supremacy over the years. Eric highlights Argentina (+550) as a force to be reckoned with, citing the magic of Leo Messi and his strong supporting cast. Jay dishes out why he likes Spain (+800) to be able to make a run in the tournament with a rejuvenated unit that can compete with any other country. Drew likes the value of the youthful Germany (+1000) team, as well as the dark horse Uruguay (+4000) to make a lot of noise down the stretch.

Bet the Edge will highlighting several more pivotal matchups throughout the week!
