These recommendations are categorized as “Cash Game Stacks” and “Tournament Stacks” while outlining risk/reward situations. We will add additional context with other hitting/pitching options throughout the article.
Keep in mind that the following player write-ups were constructed earlier in the day, and sometimes injury/rest situations can alter the fantasy landscape. Monitoring our MLB News & Headlines Feed throughout the day will keep you in the loop while giving you the subsequent DFS consequences of each information piece.
We will be looking towards the eight-game main slate beginning at 7:07 ET.
CASH GAME STACKS
Milwaukee (at Colorado - RHP German Marquez)
Milwaukee is making the trip out to Colorado, boosting them with the highest run-scoring projection of the night. Rockies’ RHP German Marquez was rocked (no pun intended) for eight earned runs and 12 hits across five innings at Cincinnati on Saturday. Now he’ll face a formidable Brewers’ lineup in the baseball’s best hitting environment. Marquez holds a career .340 split to left-handed bats at Coors Field, so Daniel Vogelbach, Christian Yelich, and Omar Narvaez line up well. Avisail Garcia and Willy Adames are stacking options as well.

LA Angels (vs. Detroit - RHP Matt Manning)
Detroit’s top-pitching prospect, 23-year-old Matt Manning, will be making his first MLB start tonight. While Manning has plenty of talent, he has struggled at Triple-A this season (8.07 ERA in 32.1 IP). It’s hard to believe that he’ll come in and pin down an Angels’ offense that has looked pretty good over the last two weeks. Detroit’s bullpen isn’t exactly intimidating either, holding the third-highest xFIP in baseball. Shohei Ohtani will look to dazzle from the plate and the bump tonight, and he’s always a legitimate top-tier option. Justin Upton, Max Stassi, and Jared Walsh have been heating up as well. Taylor Ward and David Fletcher are legitimate bargains within this LAA stack.
NY Yankees (at Toronto - RHP T.J. Zeuch)
Sahlen Field in Buffalo has turned into a legitimate hitter-friendly park, ranking top five in runs, hits, and homers. Both teams have plenty to offer in those three categories tonight. The Yankees make for an interesting stack against Toronto RHP T.J. Zeuch, who has allowed nine earned runs and 13 hits across eight innings over his last three games. He has struggled against lefties in his brief MLB career, so an underrated (and cheap) stack of Rougned Odor and Brett Gardner would serve as a nice compliment to the power bats of Giancarlo Stanton, Aaron Judge, and others.
Top Plays: Omar Narvaez (C), Max Stassi (C), Daniel Vogelbach (1B), Jared Walsh (1B), DJ LeMahieu (2B), Christian Yelich (OF), Justin Upton (OF), Shohei Ohtani (OF)
Top Value: David Fletcher (2B), Rougned Odor (2B), Taylor Ward (3B), Willy Adames (SS), Miguel Andujar (OF), Brett Gardner (OF)
TOURNAMENT STACKS
Tampa Bay (at Seattle - RHP Justin Dunn)
Seattle RHP Justin Dunn hasn’t been terrible this season, but he carries an inflated .362 wOBA split to left-handed bats. Tampa has plenty of legitimate hitters to take full advantage. Brandon Lowe, Austin Meadows, and Joey Wendle are the go-to guys of this stack. Kevin Kiermaier can be considered for value as well.
Chicago White Sox (at Houston - RHP Jose Urquidy)
Jose Urquidy is a pretty good pitcher, but he has occasional blemishes like nine earned runs and 13 hits allowed through 11.1 innings over his last two starts. As we all know, the White Sox have legitimate run-scoring upside, and they will fly under the radar tonight. Making matters even better, Urquidy holds a .350 wOBA split to right-handed bats, boosting guys like Tim Anderson, Jose Abreu, Yermin Mercedes, and maybe even Andrew Vaughn.
Toronto (vs. New York - RHP Michael King)
Toronto is on the flip side of the Yankees’ write-up earlier. As mentioned there, I’m expecting plenty of runs from both sides in this game. New York RHP Michael King has been fairly generous lately, allowing eight earned runs across 11.1 innings over his last three games. He also has a .343 wOBA split to lefties in limited MLB innings. The Blue Jays have an exciting, young lineup that can pour it on early and often. I’m looking towards Marcus Semien, Bo Bichette, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., and Cavan Biggio.
