CASH STACK
Minnesota Twins - (vs. Cincinnati Reds - SP Tyler Mahle)
Jorge Polanco comes in as one of our top value players on this slate. Our NBC Sports Edge Optimizer has Polanco projected for 11.9 DKFP at a salary of $4,400. Mitch Garver also found his way into our optimal cash lineup tonight. He’s projected for 10.1 DKFP, also at a salary of $4,400. These two players are the perfect start to your daily fantasy lineups tonight. Tonight's game is taking place in Cincinnati. Great American Ball Park has allowed 1.494 home runs per game this season, which is good enough for second-highest in the league only to Baltimore’s Camden Yards. Minnesota will be matched up against Cincinnati’s Tyler Mahle. Mahle has a 6.07 home ERA this season, allowing six home runs, 13 of which to opposing righties. Make sure to invest in right-handed batters from the Twins. Pointsbet.com has the Twins at +105 with a 9.0 O/U.
Top Plays: Mitch Garver, Josh Donaldson & Jorge Polanco
Top Value: Miguel Sano, Brent Rooker, & Anrelton Simmons
GPP STACK
San Diego Padres (vs. Oakland A’s - SP Sean Manaea)
This is strictly a boom or bust play but investing in a San Diego stack will have you climbing the leaderboards while 50+ percent of the field potentially drops (if SD performs). Sean Manaea only allowed one hit over 6.0 IP, striking out nine Padre batters in his last start against San Diego this past Wednesday (7/28). Most will be investing in Oakland‘s Sean Manaea tonight and for good reason. Over his last four starts, he has a 2.52 ERA with 35 total strikeouts while maintaining a .167 opponent OBA. Manaea is expected to be the most popular pitching play of the night. Knowing this, the most lucrative GPP stack would be the San Diego Padres. The Padres split their last series against the Rockies 2-2 and have scored a combined 18 runs over their last three wins. Right-handed batters are hitting .259 with eight home runs and 25 RBI against Manaea. The truth is, Manaea plays best against opposing lefties (allowing a .174 BA with a 25 % strikeout rate). Right-handed batters have been able to exploit Oakland's left-handed starter. Manaea has allowed 14 home runs this season (right to opposing righties). If San Diego performs tonight, it will be on the backs of their right-handed power hitters.
