NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check NBC Sports EDGE's player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

There is only one game scheduled for tonight, which brings a different format. On FanDuel, you’ll be picking a Captain, who will give you 1.5x points, and four utility players with a budget of $55,000. DraftKings will have you pick a Captain worth 1.5x points and five flex players with a budget of $50,000. For Yahoo, you’ll be picking a Superstar worth 1.5x points and four flex players with a budget of $130. In other words, the terminology and budget changes from site-to-site, but the basic idea is the same throughout. It should also be noted that DraftKings and Yahoo allow you use goaltenders.

CAPTAIN/SUPERSTAR:

Nikita Kucherov (Tampa Bay) - $15,500 FanDuel, $15,600 DraftKings, $34 Yahoo

Kucherov has been somewhat hit-and-miss in the finals, but it’s still hard to bet against the best player on either team. On any given night he’s capable of contributing multiple points and if the Lightning put away Montreal tonight, then he’ll likely be a big part of it. Alternatively, you could take either team’s goaltender in DraftKings of Yahoo. They’re two of the league’s top goaltenders and a lot of these games have been tight, goaltending matchups, so choosing a goaltender over a forward as your top pick wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Other Plays: Carey Price (MON) – $14,700 DraftKings/$31 Yahoo, Andrei Vasilevskiy (TBL) - $16,200 DraftKings/$38 Yahoo

UTILITY/FLEX:

Nick Suzuki (Montreal) - $14,500 FanDuel, $12,300 DraftKings, $21 Yahoo

Suzuki had a breakout regular season and that’s carried over to the playoffs with him scoring seven goals and 16 points in 21 contests. He’s hot going into this game too, recording a point in each of his last three contests.

Cole Caufield (Montreal) - $12,500 FanDuel, $12,000 DraftKings, $16 Yahoo

Another young Canadiens player who has clicked, Caufield has contributed three assists over his last two games. The 20-year-old rookie is up to four goals and 12 points in 19 games this year. Whatever happens to the Canadiens in the rest of the series, Suzuki and Caufield have given the fanbase a reason to be optimistic about the team’s future.

Blake Coleman (Tampa Bay) - $10,000 FanDuel, $7,200 DraftKings, $17 Yahoo

Coleman has been an unexpected hero for the Lightning in the Stanley Cup Final. He’s on a four-game point streak, including Game 2 when he scored the game winner in spectacular fashion. Can he keep his recent run going? Given his reasonable price, I think he’s worth taking a chance on in the hopes that he will.

Bargain Bin: Josh Anderson (MON) - $9,500 FanDuel/$7,500 DraftKings/$13 Yahoo, Ondrej Palat (TBL) - $9,000 FanDuel/$11,700 DraftKings/$19 Yahoo, Anthony Cirelli (TBL) - $8,500 FanDuel/$8,100 DraftKings/$15 Yahoo, Tyler Johnson (TBL) - $8,000 FanDuel/$3,900 DraftKings/$14 Yahoo, Barclay Goodrow (TBL) - $7,500 FanDuel/$4,200 DraftKings/$13 Yahoo
