After withdrawing last week as the betting favorite at Pebble Beach, Dustin Johnson is once again topping the odds chart for the Genesis Invitational.
Johnson won two weeks ago in Saudi Arabia and was subsequently installed as the shortest PGA Tour betting favorite in over a year at Pebble, only to withdraw last Monday and spark a revision of the full-field odds. This week he's back in action on another course where he's had ample success and listed as a +575 betting favorite at Riviera according to oddsmakers at PointsBet Sportsbook.
Johnson's record at Hogan's Alley includes a win in 2017 among nine top-10 finishes in his last 12 appearances. He also lost a playoff here in 2015 and is favored over a loaded field that includes eight of the top 10 players in the world. Former world No. 1s Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm (+1200) are closest to Johnson's odds, followed by Justin Thomas (+1300).
Recent winners Brooks Koepka (+2200) and Daniel Berger (+2900) are among the top favorites, while defending champ Adam Scott (+3000) is just behind and Jordan Spieth is listed at +3400 after holding at least a share of the 54-hole lead each of the last two weeks. Here's a look at some of the notable odds this week near Los Angeles for a star-studded event that includes all three major champions from 2020:
