I hope you all enjoyed Gameweek (GW) 36 as much as I did. Every season I save my Bench Boost Chip for the final stages, and it paid off this year, earning me 159 points, my highest ever GW total 🍾
GK: Aaron Ramsdale 4, Ben Foster 14
DEF: Joao Cancelo 14, Aymeric Laporte 14, Marcos Alonso 7, Matty Cash 3, Daniel Amartey 6
MID: Bukayo Saka 4, Heung-Min Son (C) 40, Kai Havertz 1, Luis Díaz 15, Anthony Gordon 5
FOR: Harry Kane 15, Eddie Nketiah 15, Hee-Chan Hwang 2
Last week two of the three transfers I highlighted went off! My first-choice Kevin De Bruyne scored four goals against Wolves and grabbed an assist against Newcastle for a monstrous 30 point haul. I told everyone to keep faith with Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah, and he delivered 15 points thanks to an early double against Leeds United. My other choice Dejan Kulusevski had a quiet Double Gameweek (DGW), contributing five points.
In my Everton, Leicester City, and Aston Villa GW37 prep recommendations, Jordan Pickford (12pts) and Lucas Digne (5pts) came out on top. Anthony Gordon (5pts) and Richarlison (7pts) were outscored by Harvey Barnes (10pts) and Jamie Vardy (14pts).
There aren't any games on Saturday due to the FA Cup between Chelsea and Liverpool, which means you have until Sunday 5:30 AM EST to complete your transfers and team selection.
Highest Scoring Manager Awards
Congratulations to Dmitry Titkov for your eye-watering 219 points total, which is only 7 points off the highest ever GW total of 226. Triple Captaining De Bruyne was a stroke of genius, and seven other players hit double figures.
NBC Sports League
- 1st) 2670 Tia Lung - Bino Baby - 103pts
- 2nd) 2662 Futbol Is Life :) - Jamie Pigott - 201pts
- 3rd) 2619 FPL Cant Be Buy - Abhishek Ravi - 165pts
- 4th) 2602 B - Brett Morinaka - 166pts
- 5th) 2593 [Redacted] - Preston Retzlaff - 131pts
Jamie Pigott's choice to Bench Boost and Captain De Bruyne allowed him to close the gap on leader Bino Baby to 8 points. In the words of the great Sir Alex Ferguson, it's 'Squeaky bum time' for both managers who will be mulling over their transfer and captain choices for the final two GWs.

Double Gameweek (DGW)
We have five teams playing DGWs in GW37.
Everton - Brentford (H), Crystal Palace (H)
Crystal Palace - Aston Villa (A), Everton (A)
Aston Villa - Crystal Palace (H), Burnley (A)
Burnley - Tottenham (A), Aston Villa (A)
Leicester City - Everton (H), Norwich City (H)
The Red Devils don't have a fixture in GW37 and face Crystal Palace (A) on the final day of the season. Last week I recommended dumping United assets in preparation, and after last week's pathetic 4-0 defeat to Brighton, I expect to see firesales for the remainder of the season.
Heung-Min Son (£11.0mil, 243pts, Form 9.0, MID)
No player has performed better than Son on home soil. Tottenham's top goalscorer has collected 150 points and eight double-figure hauls in front of his fans this season. In each of his last two matches at home to Burnley, he has delivered 10+ points.
Jamie Vardy (£10.3mil, 108pts, Form 2.7, FOR)
Vardy returned to Leicester's starting lineup midweek for the first time since early March. He played the full 90 minutes against Norwich City, scoring a brace to pick up 13 points. I'm confident he will stay amongst the goals in GW37 with The Foxes facing relegated Watford who posses the third worse defense in the league.
Christian Eriksen (£5.6mil, 36pts, Form 4.0, MID)
Eriksen ranks amongst the top 5 midfielders in FPL since GW29 contributing eight shots on target, 20 key passes, one goal, and three assists. If Everton defends deep he will see a lot of the ball trying to break them down with his creativity.
Luis Díaz (£8.0mil, 62pts, Form 6.8, MID)
Diaz has collected 34 points in his last four GWs, more than any other Liverpool player. Manchester City's three-point lead and +7 goal difference at the top of the table means Liverpool needs to score goals against Southampton, and they will attack from the off.
