This is one of the great sports weekends on the calendar. It began with the Mets and Rockies being “snowed out” Friday night in Denver. Other than a Yankees/White Sox rainout in Chicago, the rest of the MLB schedule has gone off without a hitch this weekend. In addition, the NBA and the NHL Playoffs roll on. It was unseasonably hot and humid in Baltimore but the 147th Preakness was run and was won by Early Voting. The Premiership season concludes Sunday with intrigue at both ends of the table. Tiger struggled and ultimately withdrew but the next generation appears ready to pick up the torch for the TOUR with their showing at the PGA Championship. The same can be said for the next generation following Rafael Nadal on clay as tennis’ second slam gets underway in Paris.

It is within the PGA Championship and the French Open that our analysts Drew Dinsick (@whale_capper) and Kenny Ducey (@KennyDucey) have found value. They have each parlayed the two events. Enjoy the plays separately or parlay them.

Know that Drew and Kenny will provide daily picks throughout the fortnight of the French Open.

Drew Dinsick’s plays for the First Round of the French Open and the Final Round of the PGA Championship:

Felix Auger-Aliassime to win 3-0 (-140):

Felix, on the heels of a fantastic clay swing breaks through at the French Open for the first time with a convincing win over a qualifier who benefited from an extremely favorable path to even be here and lacks the shot-making to find an edge against the emerging young Canadian.

Cam Young to win (+800):

The son of a PGA professional, Cam Young has largely flown under the radar this week. He has worked his way into a penultimate pairing on Sunday at Southern Hills with a fellow Demon Deacon, Will Zalatoris. His success to this point in the tournament has been the least helped by lucky putting of the four true contenders and if Mito comes back to the pack carrying the pressure of the favorite,

Cam can absolutely steal his first career major considering his superlative tee to green game so far this week.

Kenny Ducey’s plays for the First Round of the French Open and the Final Round of the PGA Championship:

Aljaz Bedene to cover 5.5 games (-105)

Bedene, who has played sparingly over the last eight months, is extremely undervalued as a player with just one win in five matches this year. He may not make it out of the first round, but his ability and surprisingly big serve should keep him in this match against Chris O'Connell, who has a losing record at the ATP level. Bedene has won over 100 main draw matches and has made it out of the first round in two straight appearances at Roland Garros.

Will Zalatoris to win the PGA Championship (+400):

Zalatoris is the best ball striker on TOUR for my money and Southern Hills rewards that. Just three shots off the lead, he has a decisive advantage in terms of major championship experience over Mito Pereira. His success at the last two Masters should help him hold steady while the Chilean cracks under the pressure.

Parlayed Together: +876

Enjoy a good sweat as you watch the conclusion of golf’s 2nd major of the year and the start of the 2nd leg of tennis’ Grand Slam.
