Wolverhampton host Manchester City at Molineux on Saturday. Wolves haven't played since September 3rd when they defeated Southampton 1-0. On the other hand, City just played Dortmund in the Champions League Wednesday night. The massive rest difference between these players will surely play a factor.

The German side held City scoreless in the first half and even took the lead in the 56th minute with a goal from Jude Bellingham. Dortmund defended bravely but ultimately succumbed to defeat thanks to late goals from John Stones and Erling Haaland's improvised winner. Wolves are a side who defend well, allowing only four goals in their first six matches. Their game plan will be to make things difficult and to keep it tight at the back. Dortmund giving City a tough match less than 72 hours before-hand will only help the cause.

Wolves made news earlier this week when they signed Diego Costa on a free transfer. The 33-year old forward makes his return to the Premier League after 4 seasons of playing in Spain and Brazil. I'm interested to see how much the former Chelsea man has left. He was brought in because summer signing Sasa Kalajdzic went down and Wolves' options were limited.

If you've made it this far you might be thinking I'm about to back Wolves to pull the upset here. As fun as it would be to hit a +800 underdog, I don't think Wolves have the attacking potency to hurt City. They haven't scored more than one goal in a match in the league so far and that was against lesser competition than the reigning champions. I'm backing City to win the match but with some tired legs I can't see more than three goals. Parlay Man City to win and under 3.5 goals for +110.
