NBA Betting Cheat Sheet for March 24

by Corey Parson
Updated On: March 24, 2021, 1:40 pm ET

We have an 11-game slate in the NBA tonight. While James Harden and Giannis Antetokounmpo are the injuries to keep an eye on, it's important to watch out for trades today with the deadline being tomorrow at 3 p.m. ET. Kyle Lowry, Norman Powell, Victor Oladipo, and Aaron Gordon are some of the names on tonight's slate that could be traded before game time.

All odds are powered by PointsBet

Detroit Pistons vs. Indiana Pacers (-6) Total: 218.5

I keep trying to back the Pacers against the spread thinking the hot streak is coming, but it never does. The Pacers are a horrid 6-13 ATS at home this season. The only team worse is the Houston Rockets. In games vs. Central Division rivals, the Pacers are 5-2 to the Over.

Edge: Over 218.5

Boston Celtics vs. Milwaukee Bucks (-4.5) Total: 230

The Boston Celtics are 7-16 ATS on the road this season and it would not surprise me at all if the Celtics did not make the playoffs this year. Giannis Antetokounmpo is also questionable for the game with a knee injury and I think 230 is too high for a Total in this game.

Edge: Under 230

Denver Nuggets vs. Toronto Raptors (+2.5) Total: 224

The Raptors are on a nine-game losing streak and I am auto fading them for the rest of the season, especially after the Rockets just snapped their own 20-game losing streak by beating the Raptors by 18 points. Meanwhile, the Nuggets are 14-8 SU on the road this season.

Edge: Nuggets -2.5

Phoenix Suns vs. Orlando Magic (+9.5) Total: 213.5

The Suns scored a very impressive road victory over the Miami Heat on Tuesday night and tonight they are in Orlando to face the Magic, which has just one win in their last 10 games. On top of that, Aaron Gordon could be traded before this game tips off.

Edge: Under 213.5

Edge Finder Plus Tip: The Phoenix Suns are 11-8 to the Under on the road this season.

Dallas Mavericks vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (+8.5) Total: 231.5

The Dallas Mavericks are coming off a 40-point victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. This one is pretty simple. Lay the points with the Mavericks.

Edge: Mavericks -8.5

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Chicago Bulls (-6) Total: 215.5

In games where the Chicago Bulls are home favorites, the Under has cashed 70% of the time. I don't have anything else for this one.

Edge: Under 215.5

Charlotte Hornets vs. Houston Rockets (+3.5) Total: 222.5

The Hornets are playing their fifth straight road game tonight and that's normally an auto fade for me, but their opponents are the Rockets. Victor Oladipo could also be traded before the game tips off.

Edge: Under 222.5

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Oklahoma City Thunder (+5) Total: 219.5

The Grizzlies are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games and I really like them in this spot tonight vs. the Thunder. Memphis is 9-7 ATS on the road this season.

Edge: Grizzlies -5

Los Angeles Clippers vs. San Antonio Spurs (+5.5) Total: 220

The Clippers and Spurs are both coming into this matchup having won their last two games and when these two teams met earlier this season, the Spurs scored the win in Staples Center. I think this Total is too low.

Edge: Over 220

Atlanta Hawks vs. Sacramento Kings (+3) Total: 232.5

I still can't believe the Hawks didn't cover the spread Monday night vs. the Clippers. They should get back on track tonight vs. the Kings, which will be hosting their first game since March 11th. Atlanta as a short road favorite feels very public and I'm sure it will be, but I'm still going to back the Hawks.

Edge: Hawks-3

Brooklyn Nets vs. Utah Jazz (-10) Total: 230.5

The Utah Jazz are 10-point favorites at home tonight vs. the  Brooklyn Nets and that line indicates James Harden could be out for Brooklyn, but it's important to note that Harden rarely misses games. Plus, the Nets play their best against the better teams in the league. I'm grabbing the 10 with Brooklyn and sprinkling something on the money line.

Edge: Nets +10
