Props to Ponder at The RSM Classic

Sea Island Resort will play host for this week's RSM Classic.

Golfers will rotate between the Seaside Course and Plantation Course before the 36-hole cut is made. From there, golfers will head back out to the host course, the Seaside Course, for two more rounds.

There are a lot of betting markets to explore but for this week let's take a look at the top-20 and top-40 markets and see what stands out.

Dean Burmester - Top 20 Finish (+300)

The South African stormed the Korn Ferry Tour Finals with a pair of top 5s and he kept that momentum rolling with a top 5 at the Sanderson Farms Championship, his first event as a card-carrying member of the PGA TOUR.

That illustrates the type of upside he brings to the table.

I have him pegged as the 12th-most likely to land a top-20 finish this week, but there are 30 other golfers priced ahead of him in the top-20 market.

It's likely that bettors are worried about his course fit, seeing that he is one of the longer hitters and mashers don't have the greatest track record at the RSM.

That being said, he grades out 14th in the field for me when it comes to performance on short courses, over the last two years. He's more than just a long driver and I think we are getting plenty of value this week at Sea Island.

Ben Griffin - Top 40 Finish (+150)

He's off to a strong start this season with top 25s in three of his six starts. That includes a near-win at the Bermuda Championship.

His attitude was amazing after the final round in Bermuda despite a sour finish. It was good to see him rebound from that with a pair of cuts made, including a top 20 last week in Houston.

Now he gets a home game at Sea Island so I expect him to keep the momentum rolling. He projects at 30th in the raw standings for me this week and that is without factoring any local-knowledge bump which surely can't hurt.
