Podcast: Polanco Returns

by Matt Stroup
Updated On: April 23, 2019, 9:33 am ET

As we speak, there's a guy sitting out there available in a bunch of leagues (43 percent rostered on Yahoo as of yesterday, 49 as of this morning), a player who hit 23 homers with 81 RBI and 12 stolen bases last season — in just 461 at-bats.

Gregory Polanco missed the last three weeks of 2018 with knee and shoulder injuries, the latter requiring surgery. He's back now, and went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and two runs scored in his season debut on Monday evening.

On the latest episode of the Rotoworld Baseball Podcast, the esteemed Nate Grimm joined me to discuss the outlook for Polanco going forward, and make the case for adding him right now if he's still on your waiver wire.

We also look at the potential for another new arrival in Pittsburgh, Cole Tucker, and consider just how concerned we should be on Corey Kluber and Aaron Nola (hint: not very), as well as Yu Darvish (considerably more). You can check out the full episode right here:
