Jeff Skinner, who went from 6% a week ago to 12%, is still a strong fantasy option going into this week. He has seven goals and 10 points in nine games this month.

Ville Husso (34%) has been making a strong case for himself to see more playing time and he should be scooped up if you are in need of goaltending help. Nico Hischier (32%) and Alex Iafallo (29%) are good additions for Sunday as well as the upcoming week

Now, let’s get into this week’s recommendations:

Robert Thomas (St. Louis) - C, RW - Rostered in 32% of Yahoo leagues

Thomas has been all over the scoresheet this season. while helping to set up 26 goals and scoring five of his own in 33 games. He has collected six points (two goals, four assists) in his past six outings. Thomas currently lead the Blues in scoring and linemate Jordan Kyrou ranks second on the team with 25 points (15 goals, 25 assists). Brandon Saad (12%), who is the third member of the combination, is a good pickup option as well going into a busy four-game week for St. Louis.

Tage Thompson (Buffalo) - C, LW, RW - Rostered in 24% of Yahoo leagues

Thompson has already eclipsed his previous bests offensively in 2021-22, while producing 14 goals and 14 assists through 38 games. He also has a career-high 17:45 of ice time per contest and he has a personal best 119 shots on target. Thompson has 10 points, including six on the power play (two goals, four assists) in eight games since his return from the holiday break. He also currently has two goals and three helpers during a three-game point streak. Thompson, Alex Tuch (27%) and Skinner (12%) are all worth adding if they are available heading into Buffalo’s three-game road trip this week.

Valeri Nichushkin (Colorado) - LW, RW - Rostered in 19% of Yahoo leagues

Nichushkin returned to the lineup on Saturday after missing three games due to COVID-19 protocol. He filled the stat sheet against Montreal with one goal, one assist, two shots, two hits and four blocks in 17 minutes of ice time. Nichushkin has been a great source of secondary offense this season, while spending most of his playing alongside Nazem Kadri. He has 11 goals and 19 points in 23 appearances to go along with 57 shots and 35 hits. Nichushkin also has two power-play markers and two shorthanded tallies this campaign. He should be rostered in more leagues, especially with Colorado set to play four times this week.

Evgenii Dadonov (Vegas) - LW, RW - Rostered in 13% of Yahoo leagues

Dadonov has heated up this month with seven points (two goals, five assists) in seven games. He has been developing some chemistry with Chandler Stephenson, who has been a stable source of production despite the team’s health issues. Dadonov may only be a short-term option if the Golden Knights get back Mark Stone and Max Pacioretty this week. but he has plenty of appeal if his recent hot streak continues.

Erik Haula (Boston) - C, LW - Rostered in 11% of Yahoo leagues

Haula has become a regular on Waiver Wired over the past few weeks since he was moved to a line between David Pastrnak and Taylor Hall. He has compiled nine points (two goals, seven assists) in 11 games going into a four-game week for the Bruins.

Gustav Nyquist (Columbus) - LW, RW - Rostered in 9% of Yahoo leagues

Nyquist has been red hot since mid-December, while generating six goals and 11 points in 11 contests. He has played well alongside Boone Jenner this season and he has had plenty of success with Oliver Bjorkstrand recently.

Mike Matheson (Pittsburgh) - D - Rostered in 9% of Yahoo leagues

Matheson has three goals and three assists during a three-game point spree. He has also picked up eight shots, six hits and three blocks over that span. Matheson has recorded points in bunches this campaign, while producing the highest scoring rates of his career.

Christian Dvorak (Montreal) - C, LW - Rostered in 9% of Yahoo leagues

Dvorak has registered two goals and two assists during a three-game point streak. He picked up one goal and one assist on the man advantage over that span, while skating on the top unit. He has been playing on the second line at even strength alongside Mike Hoffman.

Seth Jarvis (Carolina) - C, RW - Rostered in 4% of Yahoo leagues

Jarvis has collected six points in nine games since the Hurricanes returned from the holiday break. He has four goals, two assists, 11 shots and 12 hits during that stretch. The 19-year-old rookie has become a regular alongside Sebastian Aho, which has given his fantasy value a boost and makes him an intriguing under-the-radar pickup for Carolina’s upcoming four-game week.

Brandon Hagel (Chicago) - LW, RW - Rostered in 2% of Yahoo leagues

Hagel has been productive for the Blackhawks this season, while earning 10 goals and 10 assists in 35 matches. His four-game point streak (two goals, two assists) was snapped on Saturday, but he logged a season-high 22:21 of ice time in the contest. Hagel has topped 20 minutes of action in each of the past three games, while skating alongside Patrick Kane. Dylan Strome (2%), who is the third member of the combination has been playing well too and he is also worthy of consideration.
