Fantasy Premier League (FPL) continues this week for Gameweek 12. Hopefully, managers took advantage of the international break as we are now entering the bulk of the season. There will be ten gameweeks between now and Christmas.

During the break, there were multiple coaching changes. Norwich City signed Dean Smith just eight days after Aston Villa released him on November 7th. Also, Liverpool Legend, Steven Gerrard, returns to the Premier League in hopes of winning his first league title, only this time as a manager. He signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Aston Villa. Both managers will be on the sideline for this weekend's games.

Injuries and Rotations have been impacting the FPL community heavily all season, and after a week of travel and international play for the players, those numbers only increased. Most recently, Kevin De Bruyne contracted COVID-19 and will be in isolation for ten days. Thomas Tuchel shared an injury update on a few of his star players. Sharing that Romelu Lukaku and Mateo Kovacic will miss this weekend's game against Leicester City as they are both still dealing with their injuries. You can keep up with all Premier League player news on the NBC Sports Edge site HERE.

Reviewing our NBC Sports league, congratulations to Shannon Moscoso, manager of Mo Mané Mo Problems, for being the Manager of The Week, scoring a total of 110 points. Shannon captained Salah but profited most from the performances of Joao Cancelo and Trent Alexander-Arnold in defense. Havertz, Smith Rowe, and Raphinha were also great selections in the midfield, as all three scored, separating Shannon from the rest of the pack.

FPL 11

Top Transfer Targets will look at the roster tiers in FPL, breaking down the best options in each. The tiers will be broken down as The 40 percent or more club, 25-40 percent owned, 15-24 percent, 10-15 percent, and under 10 percent.

Let's look at this week's fixtures:

Saturday, November 20

Leicester v Chelsea

Aston Villa v Brighton

Burnley v Crystal Palace

Newcastle v Brentford

Norwich v Southampton

Watford v Manchester United

Wolves v West Ham

Liverpool v Arsenal

Sunday, November 21

Manchester City v Everton

Tottenham v Leeds

No explanation needed (40 percent or more rostered):

There are two players in is the 40%+ club this week, Mohamed Salah and Michail Antonio. Salah has been selected by 71.7% of managers, as Liverpool will host Arsenal. Antonio is owned by 48.2% for West Ham's away game against Wolves.

Don't get caught out in the crowd (25-40 percent rostered):

Joao Cancelo (DEF Manchester City 6.5m, 30.2%): With multiple players on the inactive list for Manchester City this weekend, Cancelo makes for a strong play. Cancelo was in great form heading into the international break. He had an assist and helped earn a shut out for City in the Manchester Derby to cash 13 fantasy points in Gameweek 11. He also had a hat trick of assists in the Champions League against Club Brugge. The Portuguese defender should be in store for a strong week and score both offensive and defensive bonus points against an Everton side with a handful of injuries.

Worth your consideration (16-24 percent rostered):

Heung-Min Son (FWD Tottenham 10.4m, 20.8%): Although Tottenham failed to register a shot on target in Gameweek 11, I love Son this week. The Spurs will be home against Leeds United, who are in the bottom five in the league for 'Goals Against' (15). Moreover, Son has been phenomenal at home this season. He has earned double-digit fantasy points in three of the five Spurs games played in Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Son has also taken responsibility for most free kicks and leads his team in shots, chances created, and key passes, all of which are vital stats to consider in FPL.

Solid if not Steller (10-15 percent rostered):

Diogo Jota (MID Liverpool 7.5m, 13.4%): With the absence of Firmino, Jota becomes a reliable FPL choice. He had a disappointing performance in Gameweek 11, scoring just two fantasy points. However, he should be able to get more involved this week against Arsenal. The 24-year-old is currently third in the league for the highest non-penalty expected goals + expected assists (npXG+xA) per 90 minutes this season with 0.88.

Rolling the dice (under 10 percent rostered):

Adam Armstrong (FWD Southampton 6.0m, 4.0%): Armstrong only has two goals this season but leads Southhampton in shots with 29 and shots on target with eight. The former Blackburn star seems to have figured out the rhythm of the Premier League, earning an assist in Gameweek 10 and a decisive game-winning goal in Gameweek 11. Southampton will be matched up against Norwich City, who have conceded the most goals all season with 26 and have are currently allowing a goal every 36 minutes.
