The Detroit Tigers have won their last eight home games and are on a six-game winning streak. This afternoon they look to complete a four-game sweep of the Texas Rangers. Game odds via PointsBet.

Texas Rangers (+115) vs. Detroit Tigers (-136) Total: 9.5

The Detroit Tigers enter this afternoon's game red hot, while the Texas Rangers are losers of eight straight and have a single victory in their last 10 games. They will look to Mike Foltynewicz to get them back on track this afternoon in Detroit as the Tigers send Tyler Alexander to the hill to start the game.

The Tigers' pitching has been excellent during their winning streak, only giving up seven runs in their last six games. Alexander has not pitched more than 3.1 innings in a game this season; his longest outing was his last one vs. the Twins. In that game, Alexander allowed two earned runs and only struck out a single batter.

Since the month of May, Rangers starter Mike Foltynewicz has only recorded one win. On the season he has a 2-9 record with an ERA of 5.91. In his last outing he gave up 10 earned runs in 1.2 innings, including four home runs. It may have been the worst outing of any starting pitcher this season. In games in which Foltynewicz has started this season, the Rangers are 6-13 on the Money Line and the Under has cashed in 10 of those 19 games.

PointsBet opened up the Total in this game at 9.5 and that number has briefly dipped to 9, but has settled back in at 9.5 although juiced to the Under at -125. If you are looking for some day baseball action, a Tigers and the Under parlay pays +212 on PointsBet.

Edge Finder Tip: The Tigers are 29-19-1 (60%) to the Under in home games this season.

EDGE: Under 9.5 (-125)
